Well, it has been almost a year since I last posted, but for good reason. As you can see, my new website is ready to go.. eh just about. While still on the topic of rebuilding Waywire, I would like to thank all of those who have helped me through this process, especially Danielle Palafox and Ramez Akasheh. Both of you have helped with different parts of this site and I would not have been able to develop a site that fits the personality that Waywire is trying to exude. So thank you for all of your help.

Outside of relaunching Waywire Photography, this past year has been busy. While I have not yet gone on my international trip, I explored more of the Washington DC area and took a trip home to Colorado at Christmas. Outside of traveling, I found a post-graduate school job, started photography projects, and even got a dog! Life can’t get better than working on photography and writing this the little doggo curled up next to me

DC has a lot of pockets that I have yet to explore, such as Union Market and the area north of Capitol Hill. While there, I had the opportunity to get some Burmese food at Toli Moli. I had the opportunity to try their desserts when they were functioning as a pop-up restaurant. It was great to see them expand into their own booth. I would recommend them if you what to try some food that is not common in DC.

Both of my parents recently visited me. My mom stopped by in May on her way to Pennsylvania. E and I took her to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah Sky Drive. We hiked a little bit to see a vista of the surrounding farmland. My father also visited me and E in July to help take care of our new dog. All three of us took a day trip to Assateaque beach, where wild horses roam freely. Apparently, my dad had never swam in the ocean, although he had visited beaches before. We also watched fireworks in Maryland for 4th of July. Generally, I would think a tree in front of us would be blocking our view, but the bare tree made for a great photo (from my phone). Still, the fireworks reminded me of stars and galaxies far away in the sky. So far, it has been a good summer with only a few weeks left. I guess I will have to take advantage of the weather more often through long bike rides along Capital Crescent trail and more trips to the beach.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!
