Jeollanamdo (전라남도), the province located in the southwest of the Korean peninsula, contains smaller cities and rural cities such as Mokpo (목포). The port city of Mokpo often has boats leaving for Jeju or nearby islands. Jeollanamdo also contains a significant number of nature parks such as Damyang (담양) as well as a large bamboo forest, and one of South Korea’s major green tea fields at Boseong (보성).
